Cinema Vertigo Medienfassade
Auch in diesem Jahr bietet die Schmiede mit Cinema Vertigo wieder die 
Gelegenheit, Projekte für ein außergewöhnliches Präsentationsformat zu entwickeln. Heuer soll die über 20m hohe Fassade des Verdampferturms zur Membran zwischen dem kreativen Schaffen im Inneren und dem Wirkungsgrad in der Außenwelt werden. Die Projektion wird sowohl im Gebäude als auch von Außen sichtbar sein. Neben Arbeiten im rein visuellen Bereich, bietet sich die Schmiede an, interdisziplinäre Projekte und Performances zu entwickeln. Neben Videokünstlern und VJs sind also auch Smiths aus anderen Bereichen, wie etwa Tanz, Performance, Musik oder Interaktion gefragt. Schnittstellen für interaktive Vorhaben können im Projektrahmen entwickelt werden, verschiedene Soft- und Hardware wird dazu von der Schmiede zur Verfügung gestellt oder kann selbst mitgebracht werden ...

DER GREIF Schmiede Special Issue Discontent
After another great Schmiede-experience, we're back in our studio and will continue working on the next Schmiede special issue by the middle of october. The special issue will be published at the beginning of november.
We still want your photographs, texts, music, videos, documentations about your work that has been produced during schmiede ‘10 Discontent. Please make a selection forehand and hand your submissions in personally until friday evening. You’ll find us in the wood floor, just drop by if you’re curious about how last years special issue looked like. If not, you can also send us your work until october 15th via email.
We will produce a 70x100cm poster-magazine limited to 500 hand-signed copies, that tries to reflect what is happening during the 10 Schmiede days ...

Schmiede Call for participation - drama&stern
drama&stern is looking for performers
Last year on schmiede, we finished our track Wueste; on this year's Schmiede we are going to shoot a 9-minute one-shot-video. We are going to walk through Schmiede playing Wueste; on this walk, we want to run into people, intaract or let them act, and move on.
For this we are looking for *performances will last between 2 sec and 20 sec*. And please, they don't have to be serious ;)))))) *Do the monkey, yes! *
Most probably we will be shooting on Sunday Sept. 19th; till then we will prepare, find our path through Schmiede and coordinate the participation. Even though this is a video from drama&stern, we want to pay our respects and show a lot of Schmiede-flair!

many of our members helped us with their appearance to finance the massive LED screen in our yard! now we think it's time to dedicate the video wall to your projects:

we would like you guys to send us your projects in a video format. anything you always wanted to share on a big screen: short movies, animations, slideshows or music videos of your latest tunes. we will open the infamous DONNERSTAGSBAR for this event, it's free entrance for all members so let's rock that screen together!

Eure Momentaufnahmen von Details im Alltag, kurze Video-Schnappschüsse,
die Element einer interaktiven Medieninstallation werden sollen, die
zum ersten Mal am 12.-14. November 2009 im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe
„Podium09 - Kunst der neuen Generation“ präsentiert wird.
Vielleicht hast du ja sogar schon einige passende Momentaufnahmen im Archiv...
