Schmiede Rules

Respect the Saline (Schmiede Building).
Workspaces must be returned as found.
Equipment must be returned as received.


Schmiede Firsttimer: 

  • fill out profile info on Schmiede.ca no later than September 1st.
  • arrive at Schmiede on Thurday at 10:00.
  • present themselves to each other and the Schmiede Organisation Team.
  • become Smiths after an entire Schmiede period.


Smiths:

  • arrive on Thurday at 13:00.
  • chose workspaces before Schmiede Firsttimer.
  • must change the location of their workspaces every year.
  • should be present the entire Schmiede period.
  • become Senior Smiths by involvement into the Schmiede's operations.


Senior Smiths:

  •  have the possibility to develop larger projects in accord with Schmiede.
  • Senior Smith Status is reached by executing no less than two exemplary Smith Projects.


Smith Projects:

  • need a responsible Smith, the Project Holder.
  • The Project Holder is the project's point of communications to the Schmiede Organisation Team.
  • Schmiede Project Holders are responsible for the genuine use of space. Leave it as found. questions: ask
  • Operations that might interfere with other Smiths must be announced and brought to the attention of the Schmiede Organisation Team.
  • To become an official Smith Project, projects must be documented on Schmiede.ca properly.

Schmiede Projects:

  • are selected and invited by the Schmiede team.
  • need a responsible Senior Smith Project Holder.
  • may block spaces ahead of time.
  • can get cost support from Schmiede.
  • must fit into the general perspective of the Schmiede.
  • get featured in the official Schmiede program.
  • Senior Smiths are responsible for the execution of their projects.
