In 2011 there is a special collaboration between Schmiede Hallein and the Dakar Arts Festival, Dakar, Senegal. All Smiths (Schmiede participants) and others interested are specially invited to participate in the first International Dakar Arts Festival.  At Schmiede11 (September 15-25th) you will have the possibility to get more information about this collaborative project. During Schmiede11 there will be a “meet the partner festival” session and an  information booth to update art enthusiasts with the current developments . Due to special collaboration with other festivals the High Ministry of Culture in Senegal is supporting exhibiting artists that participate in the Dakar Arts Festival with a 50% travel grant.

Under the high patronage of the ministry of arts and culture, in partnership with the art galleries
of West Africa. Dakar Arts Festival will host for the first time an international contemporary arts
exhibition, starting from November 1st 2011 To December 30th 2011.
