arts in Eastern Europe and Austria. The activities range from individual sponsoring and start-up
funding for innovative initiatives via co-operation with event promoters to participating in

KulturKontakt Austria supports arts professionals and cultural institutions in/from the following

European Cultural Foundation (ECF)
“STEP beyond”
'Our mobility fund stimulates and supports cross-cultural creative projects in a wider Europe,
enabling artists and cultural workers to collaborate, exchange, network and explore unfamiliar
ground and different ways of working.'
Eligible: Individual artists, cultural operators, cultural researchers and cultural writers (art critics
and cultural journalists, etc) travelling to/from EU countries to/from the European Neighbourhood.
In collaboration with the Arts and Culture Network Programme of the Open Society Institute,
ECF's STEP beyond also supports travel to/from the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and
Georgia) as well as Turkey.
Deadline: 8 weeks before travel.
Maximum grant: There is no specific maximum, but grantees get on average between €300 and
€700.

*Roberto Cimetta Funds
The travel grant programme is addressed to all professionals, artists or cultural operators in the
fields of contemporary performing arts, visual arts or cinema, photography, writing or digital arts
in the Mediterranean (the countries on the north shore from Portugal to Turkey, and on the south
side from the Near East to the Maghreb).European professionals may apply but only if their
project has a strong Mediterranean connection. The Roberto Cimetta Fund travel grants are
individual - they are granted to specific individuals and not to organisations. The application must
therefore be filled in and sent by the person desiring the grant. We can accept several applications
linked to the same project (participants for short term training events, for example), but the
selection will be based on the merit of each individual personally: he/she must clearly describe
their career path, motivations and personal objectives.

How to Apply:
The request must be written and sent by the individual applicant him/herself and not by an
organisation. The process is quite simple and fast (about one month).

Pro Helvetia Tirana
Pro Helvetia Tirana promotes projects in the domains of theatre, dance, the visual arts, music and
literature, and supports Albanian cultural practitioners who would like to take part in international
festivals and conferences. In its efforts to intensify cultural relations between Albania and
neighbouring countries, the Swiss cultural antenna fosters cross-border exchanges. But Pro
Helvetia also mediates contacts to Swiss cultural practitioners and institutions interested in
working in Albania.

Marianne.von.Willemer.2010 – Preis für digitale Medien
Um Künstlerinnen zu fördern, vergibt die Stadt Linz in Zusammenarbeit mit Ars Electronica und
Unterstützung des ORF Oberösterreich auch heuer wieder den mit 3.600 Euro dotierten Preis für
digitale Medien.
Der Marianne.von.Willemer-Preis ist einer der erfolgreichsten städtischen Kulturpreise und aus
dem Linzer Kulturkalender nicht mehr wegzudenken.
Gesucht werden innovative künstlerische Arbeiten, die durch den Einsatz oder die explizite
Bezugnahme auf digitale Medien gekennzeichnet sind.
Hinsichtlich der technischen Realisierung kann aus dem breiten Spektrum gewählt werden - so
können zum Beispiel Arbeiten aus den Bereichen digitale Fotografie, Digital Video,
Computeranimation, generative Grafik, digitale Musik, interaktive Installationen, Netz- und Web
2.0-Projekte, Medienperformances, Medienarchitektur etc. eingereicht werden.
