Schmiede stands for three things: create, network, present.
Schmiede
 is a prosumer festival, a place where our ideas come to play.

Since 2003, Schmiede provides space, time, tools, a heterogeneous group of participants and projects. For ten days in September, the Saline in Hallein, Austria, becomes an open and free playground (2000m2) for 140 creatives and artists from all around the world. Depending on the needs and possibilities of its members the SmithNetwork moves along the borders of art, culture, handcraft and creative industry. Schmiede ends with FocusOnInside, a grand public exhibition, where the Smith productions of the past ten days are presented to the public and media.  




Who
 participates at Schmiede?
Schmiede unites motivated artists and creatives to work and connect genre, origin, tribe, eating habits - it doesn't matter. Motivation, quality and the will to work and engage with others are the main criteria.  Do you have a project in mind, but you don´t have space or the tools to realize it? Let us know, maybe Schmiede is the right place for you to get started.
