dear fellow smiths,


we (depart + stefan fraunberger) have organized a special performance in an
interesting space together with this year's schmiede:

it is called "chukwa's approach" and takes place on a salt lake inside a
mountain near hallein. it is basically a drone based on just intonation and
prime numbered overtones, inspired by the works of la monte young, a
pioneer of this kind of music in the last century.
of course, just intonation or also the so called pythagorean tuning have
been around for much longer, but that's a whole different story.

as it happens we are still looking for people with a mind for performance
and music, who want to participate in this special concert. what we need is
acoustic instruments or voices, you have to be able to tune to uncommon
frequencies (uncommon meaning not the normal equal tempered scale) and hold
a note for a long time, that's all  :)

we have scheduled two rehearsals.
22.09./ 18.00 at the schmiede (approx. 2h)
23.09./ 16.30 inside the mountain. (approx. 2h)

the actual performance takes place
24.09. starting from 17.00 / three runs (approx. 2h)
